Do your representatives want to End Wind Welfare?
Over the last several years, many Members of Congress have publicly opposed the extension of the Wind Production Tax Credit (PTC), a tax handout for a large mature industry paid for by taxpayers. This year Congress is debating whether to extend this corporate handout once again. Preventing this from happening is even more important because President Obama needs it to support his federal takeover of the electrical system designed to make your electricity bill skyrocket.
Below is a list of Members of the House of Representatives who have publicly taken a stand to protect taxpayers and ratepayers from this corporate handout. Each of these members has taken at least one of the these actions:
- Cosponsored H.R. 1901, the PTC Elimination Act
- Cosponsored H.R. 259, the Energy Freedom and Economic Prosperity Act
- Voted against the 2014 tax extenders package
- Signed one of three letters opposing the extension of the PTC: 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012
Momentum is building against the Wind PTC. If your member is one of the 95 standing against the PTC, please thank them. If they are not, please consider contacting them and asking them to join the growing opposition to this corporate handout.
